8pm Bible Study
Wednesday- bring lunch and chat at Elvet (maybe singing too)

This term we've studied the whole of 1 John as our Wednesday Bible Study. In what is becoming a MethSoc tradition of summing things up in 10 words or less, here is MethSoc on 1 John (specific credit goes to Joe).
"Dear little children, love everyone; walk the talk. Sincerely, John."

Victoria was recieved a big thank you from North Road to everyone who helped with the Christmas Journey. The kids really enjoyed it (so did I) and we were told we were great Go MethSoc!

Sorry it has been so long since there was much updating going on our website! We have a new website coordinator - Selina Armitt ([email protected]), and we'll be working to get the website up-to-scratch for the new academic year come October. If you need any information website-related in the meantime, feel free to email one of us; and look out for new plans, events and a fresh pair of hands working on the website soon!

SOCIALS - this is what the "3 weeks of nothing" are for, right?! As well as the joint retreat with CathSoc, a number of relaxed and more informal gatherings/events are coming up! Plans include a pub quiz night (most likely the evening of Sunday 12th June, just after the retreat), a meal out (maybe paired with the pub quiz?), a picnic down by the river and something to celebrate the completion of the MethSoc project, this year at the college at North Road. Depending on people's availability and demand, we could also potentially have a trip somewhere slightly further afield (the words "trip to the beach" have been hinted at a few times!) All I'd like you to do is quickly reply to this email, letting me know the dates/times of any major events (college days, balls etc.) that are coming up in your diary. I can't promise anything, but I'm hoping if I have such information BEFORE we start assigning socials to specific dates, we can make sure as many people as want to come, can come! So please get in touch! L & GB, Victoria

Work has started on our new website! We hope to get things up and running between now and Easter, and certainly intend to use this website much more as 2011 continues!
If you have any thoughts, ideas, opinions or queries, let us know and we'll see what we can do! In the mean time, feel free to browse through the pages we have so far.
